The Manatee Chamber of Commerce offers valuable networking and marketing opportunities that connect our members with each other and with future clients. We also offer enlightening educational programs which provide professional training and development. Here is a brief description of our signature events and programs.

Annual Signature Events and Awards Programs:

Annual Dinner – Chamber members reflect on the past year’s achievements, learn about goals and initiatives for the coming year and network with top businesses leaders. With nearly 700 attendees each year, this is a must-attend event.

Business & Education Partnership Awards –  At this awards breakfast, we recognize and honor the many businesses, organizations, and schools that have made the commitment to work together to enhance the education of our students.

Chamber Expo – Joint expo with the Sarasota Chamber of Commerce is one of our largest networking events of the year. More than 150 exhibitors draws an attendance of 1,000 plus.

Champions of Healthcare Awards – Awards program recognizing the collective actions of individuals, institutions and programs making an extraordinary impact in the Manatee County healthcare community.

Bucs Luncheon – Hear from members of the Tampa Bay Buccaneers leadership team about the economic impact a pro football team brings to our region. Special appearances by Bucs players makes this a popular event!

 Golf Tournament – This Chamber annual event offers members a fun networking opportunity and a great day of golf.

Pancakes & Politics – Hear from our local legislative delegation about their priorities for the upcoming legislative session.

 Politics & Pints – Held after the legislative session, hear from our delegation about bills which passed and what priorities they will continue to champion for our region.

Ship-Shape Showcase – Held at Port Manatee, this annual business showcase offers members a prime opportunity to promote their products and services. Attended by hundreds of members, this event includes a tour of the Port.

Small Business of the Year Awards – The Chamber recognizes the important role small businesses play in the strength of our economy. The awards breakfast highlights businesses for their growth, community contributions and customer service.

Monthly Networking Opportunities:

Biscuits & Benefits Member Reception – Held monthly, this event offers new members the opportunity to get acquainted with Chamber staff and member benefits. This reception also serves as a refresher for longtime Chamber members or any member who has new employees.

 Business After Hours – A casual, monthly networking event hosted by Chamber members. These highly popular events are a great marketing tool for your business.

Coffee Club – A monthly networking event hosted by Chamber members. Well-attended and great opportunity to make business connections.

Headliners Monthly Membership Luncheon – The Chamber brings hot topics and informative speakers to keep you up-to-date on important policy issues that may be impacting your business.

Power Connection Breakfasts & Lunches – These networking meals have limited seating to provide a more intimate environment in which to connect with fellow Chamber members. All attendees are offered time to give their “elevator pitch” to the group.

Seminars & Workshops

Chamber Programs:

Better Business Council (BBC) – Adding membership in the BBC boosts credibility and consumer confidence in your business and helps you attract and retain customers. The BBC helps address consumer concerns and provides timely information on scams.

Big Bank Theory – Each year, the Chamber utilizes more than 150 business volunteers to present a financial literacy program to Manatee County high school seniors. It’s a hands-on, real-life simulation designed to provide students with a look at the realities of being financially responsible adults.

Leadership Manatee – This program is designed to expose business and community leaders to the opportunities and challenges facing Manatee County. Program was started in 1982 and is Manatee County’s premier leadership program.

Manatee Young Professionals (MYP) – MYP serves as a business, social and community resource for young professionals ages 21-40 in the Manatee County region. Members are active on MYP and Chamber-wide committees to ensure the voice of young professionals is heard.

Project TEACH – This program is designed to increase career awareness among 4th grade students and to stress the importance of first impressions. It is presented each spring and we need more than 150 business volunteers reach all classes.

Ribbon Cuttings – Let us celebrate the opening, expansion or relocation of your business with a Chamber Ribbon Cutting. We provide the ribbon, giant scissors and publish the pictures in our monthly magazine and on social media.
